Leadership Adventure Camp
from the office of Admissions
Oak Ridge Military Academy offers a Leadership Adventure Camp for rising 6th graders through rising
12th graders. This 2 week camp emphasizes leadership techniques, adventure training, physical
fitness, land navigation, and fun!
Activities: Challenging, high adventure activities including Confidence Course, Drill and
Ceremony, Marksmanship, Paintball, Rappelling, Team Sports and Team Work
Dates Offered:
Session #1: June 27 - July 10, 2010 (2 weeks)
Session #2: July 11 - July 24, 2010 (2 weeks)
Costs:
Day Option: $950.00 (Per Session)
Boarding Option: $1,950.00 (Per Session)
Academic High School Camp
from the office of Admissions
Oak Ridge Military Academy offers academic summer classes for High School Students. The camp is
open to rising 9th graders thru rising 12th graders.
Students may take one acceleration course or two remediation courses for a full academic credit over
a five-week period. With the prior approval of the Academic Dean, students may take two
acceleration courses over a five-week period; however, these courses are limited by subject area and
time requirements. The academic camp will include nightly supervised study halls from 7:30 to 9:00
PM Monday-Thursday. High School Students can take any of the following courses:
Courses Offered*:
American Government, U.S. History, Intro / World History, Algebra I, Algebra II, F&M Math, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, English I, English II, English III, English IV, Spanish,
SAT Prep (Math and Verbal) Other academic subjects may be added.
* It is important to note that a minimum of five students are required in order for a class to be offered.
Dates Offered:
Session #1: June 27 – July 31, 2010 (1 academic credit for acceleration)
Session #2: June 27 – July 14, 2010 (2 1/2 weeks = 1 academic credit for remediation)
Session #3: July 15 – August 1, 2010 (2 1/2 weeks = 1 academic credit for remediation)

Day Option: 2 ½ Week Session $1,100; 5 Week Session $1,950
5 Day Boarding Option: 2 ½ Week Session $2,100; 5 Week Session $3,725
7 Day Boarding Option: 2 ½ Week Session $2,450; 5 Week Session $4,475
Academic 8th Grade Camp

Oak Ridge Military Academy offers academic summer classes for 8th Grade Students for a five-week
session.
Courses Offered*:
Students will be required to take all of the following courses: Math, Language Arts, Social Studies and Science
Please note that study skills will be emphasized in each class

How to Become a Summer Cadet
from the office of Admissions

Admission to Oak Ridge Military Academy (ORMA) comes after a formal review process by the Admissions Committee.
Parents: Use the checklist below to make sure you have completed all of the steps necessary in applying for admission to ORMA.
Return completed ADMISSION APPLICATION (along with non-refundable $25 application fee) completed and signed by the student’s parent(s) or guardian(s) responsible for enrollment at ORMA.
Provide the TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM (Academic Camp Students Only) to the guidance office of the student’s current and former schools. The schools should send the student’s official transcripts (grade reports), health and immunization records, standardized test results (if available), and any supporting documentation (such as an IEP).
Return the two confidential RECOMMENDATION FOR ADMISSION forms. These forms should be filled out by an adult (other than a family member) who has knowledge of the student’s personality and behavior. Letters can be from a teacher, guidance counselor, coach, pastor, etc.
Return completed ADMISSIONS QUESTIONAIRE. This form is to be filled out by the student. In addition, a personal interview is strongly suggested.
Return updated physical and immunization records The enrollment decision cannot be made until all of these items have been received and all forms are complete.
Admission Officers are available on weekdays for campus tours and interviews. The Admissions Department can provide information about local accommodations for out-of-town visitors. If you would like to schedule an interview, please call the Admissions Department at (336) 643-4131, Ext. 197, or 131.
